The Blacksmith Shop on Jail Hill is one of the more popular of the town's historic attractions. Dating to the early 19th century, the original shop was restored and expanded in 1978 by Historical Fincastle, Inc. in cooperation with the Wysong family, whose ancestor was once Fincastle's blacksmith. Today it serves as a living museum of the town's past.
