The Old Jail in Courthouse Square

Fincastle 043

Fincastle 043

The Old Jail, located at Courthouse Square, dates to 1897. It is best-known for its unusual iron and grill work which was influenced by New Orleans style architecture. It was restored in part with proceeds from Historic Fincastle, Inc‮'s first ""Fall Festival'' and now houses the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce. It once held the Fincastle Branch Library.
