| In 1957 Blue Hills Golf Club, in
Roanoke, Virginia held its first annual Club Championship Golf Tournament.
The pictures below are of the participants and the awards ceremony.
Russell L. Troutt won the tournament in 1957.
Fifty years later at the age of 90 he played in the 2007 Club
Championship.
Mr. Troutt donated his Trophy to Blue Hills
Golf Club but, the club lost it and seem to think it was thrown out in the
trash. A search was conducted of the clubhouse but, nobody ever
found the Trophy.
